Discover God’s Loving Presence Among His People Gathered At St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

We seek the Presence of God among His people.
Jesus said, “Where two or three come together in My Name I am among them.” (Matthew 18:20)
We seek to experience the reality of Christ’s Presence as we gather for prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service.

We seek to lovingly respect the dignity of every person.
Jesus said, “Just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40)
We seek to treat everyone as we would treat them if they were Jesus, for indeed through the Holy Spirit He dwells within His people.

We seek unity through faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, “May they all be one. As You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, may they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.” (John 17:21)
We seek to discover the God-given unity we have as the people of God in Christ. We come together from differing backgrounds, perspectives, political parties, ages, and ethnicities to find unity in Jesus Christ.

We seek to cultivate a culture of Biblical love.
Though used at many weddings, this scripture was originally written to a church!  We take this to be our core value in how we do all the things God has called us to do.
“Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable; it keeps no record of wrongs;  it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (I Corinthians 13:4-7)

Reflections from Our Church Family…

“St. Luke’s was the first church where we truly felt at home – where we could experience Christ’s love in a real and powerful way every time we walked through the doors.  The rector and St. Luke’s community played an irreplaceable role in shaping our spiritual journey… And you baptized both our children, helping us dedicate their lives to Christ in the most beautiful way.”  — Kevin, in a letter received August 2025

“The kindness is everywhere here.  Every person I’ve met here has been a positive influence on my life and inspired me to become the best version of myself…  I am so grateful I have become a member of this community.  I have also become closer with God.  I have always been a believer, but I did not frequently go to church.  I have learned something from each service I attended here.  Each Sunday something different is taught and for the rest of the week I try to implement it.  I believe God wanted me to come here.”  — Jamie, a teenager speaking on Youth Sunday, May 2025

Christian Formation

At St. Luke’s we believe that growing in our faith, also called Christian formation, is vitally important.  We offer many ways for our parish family to grow in Christ.  From sermons that offer deep content relevant to our lives, to several Bible Study options, to a thoughtful two-year confirmation program for teens, to Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for children, to youth participation in worship, youth group and mission trips, to Lenten dinner forums, we have opportunities for all ages to discover in ever increasing measure “The peace of God that passes all understanding.”

Guatemalan Mission Trip

Every year we are blessed to send a team to Guatemala to build concrete block homes for people living in cornstalk shacks with dirt floors.  Partnering with “From Houses to Homes” we work side by side with the Guatemalan families to build their new home in just five days.  This is life-changing for the Guatemalan families, but we receive so much more by participating in this effort than we are blessed to give.  Evenings are spent sharing worship, enjoying fellowship, and experiencing the wonders and beauty of Antigua.
