Bible Study — The Gospel of Mark – Join us at the church or via Zoom, Mondays at 12:15 pm (study begins at 12:30 pm), and Men’s Bible Study Saturday mornings at 8:45 am. All are welcome. No previous Bible Study experience is required to participate in our discussions. Join our rector, Kent, as he leads us along the pathways of ancient Palestine following in the steps of Jesus. This gospel is the shortest and simplest and yet it holds much profound meaning and application for our lives! We will seek to discover the theological depth behind the stories and teachings that Mark presents. The purpose and theme of the Gospel of Mark has been described as “presenting and defending Jesus’ universal call to discipleship’ and “to call believers to take up their cross and follow Jesus on the path through trials and suffering to salvation.” Join us as we take a deep dive into this Gospel attributed to John Mark, the interpreter and traveling companion of the Apostle Peter. Several early church leaders describe Mark as carefully recording the testimony and teachings of Peter.[/column]
