We believe that Christian formation is a lifelong process, and we try to provide resources for many different parts of that process at St. Luke’s. Sunday School begins in Pre-K (ages 3-4) and takes children through 6th grade. Confirmation class picks up then – a two-year process in 7th and 8th grades. The Youth Program has two separate groups – Salt (Grades 5-8) and Light (Grades 9-12). We enhance Sunday instruction with special offerings throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School in the summer and the youth mission trip.

For adults, we offer weekly Bible study groups, the reading groups, a series of Lenten evenings which features distinguished visiting speakers, and occasional talks during Sunday morning adult forums and discussion groups.

For people who may not yet be Christians, but are thinking about it – or members of the church in search of a refresher – we schedule an Alpha (link to the ALPHA section) course once or twice a year. Alpha is a worldwide phenomenon – more than 27 million people have taken part in it – and it has probably brought more people to Christianity – or strengthened them in their existing Christian faith – than any other form of evangelism other than the Bible itself.
