A traditional Anglican service of Choral Evensong will be held on Sunday, March 3rd at 5pm at St. Luke’s Church in Gladstone. Evensong offers an hour of music, reflection, and prayer toward the end of the day. St Luke’s Choir, directed by Brian Harlow, will sing music by Charles Villiers Stanford, Gustav Holst, and Alfred Fedak. Cathedrals in the Church of England have experienced a 35% increase in the number of worshippers at evensong services and an Oxford researching is looking into why Evensong has been growing in popularity.
