The running and governance of the church, its worship ministries, its Sunday School, its youth group, its educational activities, its many missions and outreach projects … they all have one essential thing in common: they depend on lay volunteers – that is, on members of the parish who are prepared to volunteer their time and their talents to making all these things happen. There are literally hundreds of volunteers at St. Luke’s …..and that’s never enough!
If you can teach, if you can wait tables, if you can serve in line at the soup kitchen, if you can garden, if you can spare the time to run a stall at the church fair, if you can teach young children, if you like to read in public… whatever gifts you have, St. Luke’s can almost certainly make use of them. Volunteers are the lifeblood of this parish.
